Acupuncture FAQ's

How long does Acupuncture normally take?

Depending on what you are having Acupuncture done for will depend on what how long it will take. Normally the first inital visit will take around 45-60 minutes but then after would depend on the treatment that you are having. It can range from 15-45 minutes on a normal basis.

Is Acupuncture covered by my insurance?

We will be happy to check with your insurance company to see if Acupuncture is covered. If your insurance does not cover Acupuncture, we make our Acupuncture treatments affordable.

Are there different styles of Acupuncture?

Yes there are. Acupuncture started in China. As it spread to other countries, different techniques were created.

Is there anything I need to do while receiving Acupuncture?

Yes. Relax and if you have any questions please consult the Dr. for any concerns for the Acupuncture while you're receiving it.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

You will feel a small prick, but the Acupuncture is not painful.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a health science discovered by early Chinese physicians. It is an energy network traversing just below the surface of the skin which communicates from the exterior to the internal organs and structures of over 1,000 Acupuncture points connected with 12 main pathways on the body.

How does Acupuncture work?

 There are 12 main pathways on the body that energy travels through. Acupuncture works by unblocking these pathways, so energy can travel freely.

Is Acupuncture safe?

Most people feel no or minimal pain. Relatively few complications from the use of acupuncture have been reported to the FDA in light of the millions of people treated each year and the number of acupuncture needles used.
